Esther

A board-certified music therapist and licensed professional counselor, Esther utilizes music with therapeutic intention to build resilience and empowerment. They also utilize talk therapy to connect with clients, offering a space for verbal processing and conversation. Adopting both a Relational and Systems Theory approach, she strives to meet the client where they are at in order to collaborate on treatment goals and interventions.

 

Esther completed her Bachelor's of Science in Social Work at The Ohio State University and her Master's of Art in Music Therapy and Counseling at Drexel University.

Additionally, they completed their internship at the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in 2020, where she worked with patients and their families in palliative care, inpatient psych, NICU, and the outpatient clinic. Originally hailing from Ohio, she has practiced in Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, and now resides in Portland, Oregon. Upon moving to Oregon, they worked with adolescents in a day treatment program for two years before beginning their work at Stronger Oregon and eventually beginning private practice. She specializes in working with youth and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and complex trauma.
