Complex Trauma Therapy in Portland, Oregon

You felt abandoned. You felt unseen and unheard. You grew up believing that your voice didn't matter, that your feelings were somehow wrong, and that others' needs were more important than your own. You tell yourself the harm was done years ago, so why should it still matter? But you continue to find yourself in relational cycles that leave you feeling drained, misunderstood, frustrated, and ultimately, hurt. You desperately want to find healing within yourself and within your relationships.

Modalities offered:

Attachment-Based Therapy: This is an emotionally-focused approach that can help you explore how childhood experiences impact your emotional patterns and how you show

up in relationships. As a relational therapist, this is at the core of my therapeutic style.

Internal Family Systems: This approach helps you to identify, explore, and practice kindness towards the "parts" of you that have helped you survive. IFS promotes self-compassion and ultimately, self-acceptance.

Trauma-Focused Acceptance & Commitment Therapy: This approach empowers you to learn how to allow difficult feelings while also taking steps towards goals that align with your unique values.

Trauma-Based Motivational Interviewing: This collaborative approach guides you towards making a change in your life, even in the face of ambivalence. It provides an accepting, safe, and respectful therapeutic environment where you can feel more empowered in your life and in your relationships.

Narrative Therapy: This approach helps you to externalize the difficult experiences of your life, reminding you that you have the power to re-author your life. It reminds you that you are more than the abuse and neglect you endured.
